Heating oil
Of the 107 million households in the United States, approximately 8.1
million use heating oil as their main heating fuel. Oil heat has always
provided a winning combination: high efficiency and low emissions. Now,
the latest in oil-fueled home heating systems are nearing zero emissions
for smoke and combustion discharge. That means you get the most for your
heating fuel money while helping to ensure cleaner air for your family,
your community and generations to come.
Millers high quality heating oil contains
410 HI-FLAME additives, free of charge. 410
HI-FLAME additives bind petroleum molecules, making fuel oil burn more
efficiently and economically. When this proprietary formulation is added
to high quality Miller heating oil, the result is cleaner burning fuel
that lasts longer, while lowering your overall heating cost.
410 HI-FLAME benefits include:
- Fuel oil stabilization
- Sludge & deposit control
- Corrosion control
- Fuel oil viscosity control
- Reduced buildup of fireside deposits

Propane
This lesser known heating gas can warm your home at a consistent temperature;
dry laundry more efficiently; cook food precisely, and heat water
all at a cost lower than electricity. Whats more, propane is always
in steady supply.
Propane offers many advantages over natural gas and heating oil. Because
70 percent of all homes are located in rural areas, natural gas is not
a viable option for many. Propane gas can be stored on the homeowners
property. It is portable, self-contained and always accessible. Fuel oil
is adequate for supplying heat, but unlike propane, it cannot power certain
appliances such as ranges or dryers. Fuel oil water heaters are not as
efficient as propane models because their burner nozzles get clogged very
easily and need frequent maintenance. In addition, they are more expensive
than gas water heaters.
Miller sells a full line of propane heating equipment,
including furnaces, space
heaters, water heaters and
hearth products.

Winter Diesel Fuel Treatment Flow-Master 409
Cold winter weather creates the need for a product that will allow diesel
engines to operate on No. 2 diesel fuel in sub-zero weather without the
problems caused by gelling or clouding of the fuel.
In the past, No. 1 diesel fuel or kerosene has been added to No. 2 diesel
fuel in proportions as high as 30 to 50 percent to treat the fuel for
cold weather use.
FLOW-MASTER 409 is a clear diesel fuel stabilizer that is lower in treatment
cost and more effective in boosting performance. FLOW-MASTER 409 is added
upon request and sold by the quart or gallon. (1 quart treats 250 gallons
at a cost of $7.00/qt or $20.00/gallon).
Our fuel treatment products correct such deficiencies as poor storage
stability, low cetane, inadequate cold temperature handling and filterability,
microorganism infestation, insufficient detergency or lubricity and water
contamination.
